Chapter 18: NeoCorp’s Base

Europa, July 16, 2027. 0600 Hours.

Anika Sharma analyzed the shard’s data as the ice crunched underfoot. “They’re tapping its energy—recklessly.”

Kenji Sato listened to comms, tense, as the team approached the base. “Guards are on alert. We’ve been spotted.”

John Mitchell signaled to hold, his leadership a steady force. “Zheng, what’s the layout?”

Xiaotong Zheng scanned the structure, her genius a brilliance, her presence magnetic. “Three entry points, Mitchell. Main gate’s guarded—heavily.”

Rachel Voigt prepped her flare gun, her tone tense. “Let’s hit ‘em fast—before they’re ready.”

Elias Moretti shivered, his scanner beeping loudly. “Energy readings are spiking… they’re charging something big.”

Yuri Leonov gripped his plasma torch, smirking at the challenge. “Ice base, huh? Let’s melt their plans.”

Li Wei adjusted his gear, his voice grim. “We’re out of time. They’re locking down.”

Sarah Carter stayed close, med-kit ready for action. “No turning back now, John.”

Mikael Heikkinen’s voice crackled from the ship. “I’ve got eyes on their shuttle—they’re prepping to run.”
